Between schoolwork, extracurriculars, screens, and the general busyness of teenage life, young people rarely get the chance to explore and challenge the person they are becoming. The exciting work of growing up — figuring out who you are, what you value, and what you want to do with the strengths you have — gets squeezed out.

Capable Education runs short, intensive and fun programs - during school holidays, as well as for schools - for emerging leaders, creating the time and space to focus on the stuff no one gives teenagers time for: how to know yourself better, how to build a community around you, and how to work out what mark you want to make in the world.

Get honest about who you are and who's been writing your script. You'll map your strengths, values, drivers and blind spots — and start telling the difference between what you actually think and what you've just absorbed from everyone around you. That's where real self-leadership starts.

Learn to read the room and move with people, not against them. You'll get practical at understanding what makes others tick, handling the tricky conversations, and getting people on board — the difference between having a good idea and actually making it happen with others.
